JOB TITLE: Manager, Tour Operations

LOCATION: Juneau, Alaska

PAY: Hourly OR Exempt Salary with seasonal bonus and health/retirement benefits (dependent on experience)

SCHEDULE: Beginning seasonal and then possibly leading to year round employment. Average 30-40 hours during the off-season. During the peak season (May-September) an increase in workdays and hours are expected.

Reports To: Juneau Division Manager and Regional Manager, Southeast Tour Operations

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will oversee all aspects of our tour operations in Juneau including cruise line and transfer customer interaction at the pier. The position will also be the direct contact for our 3rd party vendors in Juneau. During the off-season this position will assist maintaining the employee and tour manuals and under the Regional Manager of Tour Operations and the coordination/customer interaction for our small ship luxury lines. This position works closely with the Motocoach Operations and Logistics Managers to ensure a safe and highest level of customer service of product delivery.

RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES:

Include but aren’t limited to:

· Supervise seasonal dock rep team and coordinate with Logistics Manager on daily dispatches for motorcoach operations.

· Work closely with the Juneau Motorcoach Operations Manager to have accurate driver/guide counts and other daily operation details associated with scheduling.

· Tour manual – updated yearly, make sure codes and descriptions are accurate.

· Work closely with our contracted small cruise ships developing products specific to their customer base.

· Keep Tour Templates on file for all ships and update yearly for changes.

· Employee Manual – Assist with updating yearly with new policies or changes.

· Keep file of 3rd party Vendor contracts with pricing and mins – update yearly, send out and collect signature.

· Cost of Sales – keep updated spreadsheet on COS for 3rd party vendors.

· Track 3rd party counts including glacier and other attractions in tour packages.
