Position Summary
The Surveillance Observer acts as the oversight agent for management and customers of this casino. Is responsible for monitoring the casino floor, cage, all drop/count process as well as all the cameras located outside and the back of the house. Provide daily written activity reports, to include any violations, and suspicious activities to the manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Protect the company’s best interest.
Monitor the current activity in and around the casino.
Review video of recent activity to research matters at hand.
Use discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential issues.
Work independently and unsupervised and pay attention to the smallest of details.
Accurately make and log reports for the department manager.
Relay performance, complaints, or violations of any rules/procedures with the Manager.
Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
High School Diploma and/or GED required.
Previous experience with digital surveillance equipment is preferred.
Experience with IT systems, hardware including switches, wiring and desktop PCs and software including server infrastructure and active directory preferred.
Additional Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a basic understanding of gaming rules and regulations.
The ability to read and recognize questionable behavior by both customers and employees.
The ability to maintain composure in a potentially stressful environment.
The ability to successfully interact with all levels of team members and management.
Must possess strong computer skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.

Successful Licensing with Eklutna Tribal Gaming Commission
Machinery, Work Equipment, Programs, Software, Hardware Used
Personal Computer including Microsoft Office and IGT Falcon software
Document scanner and printer
Various hardware/software used in the slot machine environment
