JOB SUMMARY

The Scale House Attendant is responsible for the daily operations of the scale house, including operating the scale, weighing trucks and greeting truck drivers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate a truck scale and weigh trucks accurately by maintaining computerized records of material amounts.

Generate scale tickets complete data entry to maintain vehicle and necessary files.

Maintain record of current license numbers and current tare weights of all trucks.

Generate reports through the scale software program.

Download and send any generated tickets and reports to the office in a timely manner.

Provide general upkeep of the Scale House and other areas around the office.

Attends daily safety meetings and other meetings as directed.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Strong knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to be detail oriented and accurate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

One (1) year related experience preferred.

Ability to gain access to Military installation (pass a background check).

Skill in the use of Microsoft office products at a beginner level.

Ability to work varied hours, including overtime and holidays as needed.
