What you will be doing:
In this role, you will supervise the graphic design team, provide art direction for its projects, and produce visual materials that make information clear, engaging, and accessible.
Guide the team’s graphic design, video, animation and publication work, providing creative direction and ensuring finished materials meet quality, accessibility and brand standards.
Design and produce graphics, infographics, videos, animations and printed publications, including filming, editing and motion graphics work using design and editing software.
Supervise employees, assign, review, evaluate, and provide meaningful feedback on their work, set priorities, and teach production skills to employees developing their expertise
Work with departments to develop campaigns and visual content specific to their audiences and goals and oversee the organization and maintenance of visual assets.

The working environment you can expect:
This Anchorage-based position is part of the Department’s centralized Communications Team and currently works a hybrid schedule from home and the office, as appropriate. Because DOH is one of the State of Alaska’s largest and broadest departments, the daily environment is fast-paced, varied, challenging, and creative, requiring independent and collaborative work on both long-term projects and time-sensitive communications for audiences across the state.
