What you will be doing:

As the Public Assistance Programs Officer, you will manage the Fair Hearing Unit at the Division of Public Assistance.  As the manager, you are responsible for the statewide administration of the Division of Public Assistance Fair Hearing function.

You will also provide management, coordination, and development of policy and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and to provide participants with due process through the fair hearing process.

This position is the primary Division fair hearing contact for the Department of LAW and client advocate attorneys.

This position is a senior member of the Program Integrity Section leadership. You will work independently in a dynamic and time-driven environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Federal and state laws

Budget:

Budgetary and fiscal practices related to public assistance programs; and

Public Relations,

personnel administration, and office practices, methods, and procedures

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

Professional experience in administering public assistance programs; interpreting public assistance eligibility requirements or regulations; or administering, managing, or supervising an automated medical payment system, such as may be gained in a hospital, large medical clinic, or medical insurance company.
