This position is being recruited for in Anchorage, Soldotna, Wasilla. Fairbanks, or Juneau.

Pay will be determined based on

location

of selected individual.

Anchorage, Soldotna, Wasilla salary: $31.54

Fairbanks salary: $32.49

Juneau salary: $33.12

What you will be doing:

Active verbal and written communication in a friendly work environment, completing a variety of tasks and occassionally repetitive projects supporting a team environment.

Through clear and effective communication, the incumbent primarily supports the Air Quality Permit writers and management with tasks related to permits issuance, regulation reviews and document intake. Public outreach and assistance with project management duties.

Research and interpret statutes and regulations. Audit permit documents for technical accuracy, formatted to accepted professional standards. Prepares documents for public notice and conducts document entry.

Some flexibility in work hours may be possible.  The daily work is technical and science based, that requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The working environment you can expect:

Depending on the applicant’s preference, the job location may be located in one of the State offices in Fairbanks, Anchorage or Juneau. Normal office hours apply (8:00 am – 4:30 pm), although some flexibility may be possible.

We are looking for a candidate that has experience in the following areas:

Attention to Detail:

Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

Clerical:

Knowledge of filing, typing, entering data, maintaining records, taking shorthand, and using and completing forms.

Communications and Media:

Knowledge of the production, communication and dissemination of information and ideas to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media and social media.
