Principal and Administration

This position is for school year 2026-2027

In order to be considered for this position applicants (internal and external) must submit a cover letter, resume, copy of teaching and administrative certificates, and three letters of reference.

Job Summary:

Provides assistance to the building principal in the administration of the total school program.

State of Alaska TRS

Bargaining Unit:

Fairbanks Principal Association (FPA)

Salary:

Determined by the

FPA Negotiated Agreement

Contract Length:

Minimum of 196 days

Job Qualifications:

Must hold a valid State of Alaska Initial, Professional, or Master teaching certificate and State of  Alaska Type B Administrative certificate prior to employment

Demonstrated skills in focusing staff and students on academic excellence

Computer literacy with knowledge of instructional technology

Demonstrated skills in staff motivation, development, and supervision

Strong interpersonal skills

Awareness of positive student discipline procedures and skills in parent relationships and community involvement
