We are seeking an intermittent Oral Surgeon to join its established and collegial team in Juneau, Alaska. Outfitted with the latest dental technology, the clinic is designed to provide high‑quality, comprehensive oral healthcare in a supportive and friendly environment. The new three-story dental clinic is scheduled to begin serving the Juneau community in February 2027. The facility will offer Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics and General Dentistry services, along with visiting specialists.

The new $300 million Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center opened in Sitka, April 2026 and in 2021 we opened the $30 million Wrangell Medical Center, located in Wrangell. With plans to build a third critical-access hospital in Haines. In addition to the dozens of established outpatient clinics and traveling clinics throughout the region.

Compensation:

Guaranteed W2 Hourly Rate:

$350.00. SEARHC will pay for roundtrip airfare, lodging, and ground transportation.

Practice Details:

Schedule

: 1-2 weeks/monthly blocks available.

New, modern clinic facility:

Featuring twelve closed operatories with plumbed nitrous oxide. There are plans to support each surgeon with two dental assistants in the near future.

Patient Volume:

12-14 patients per day in clinic. All clinic operatories have up-to-date A-Dec equipment, digital radiography, and electronic health records. Including Dentrix Enterprise Software and Dexis Radiography.

Procedure opportunities:

Administer general and local anesthetics. Administer anesthetics or sedatives to control pain. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and especially with Resident Program Director to plan or provide treatment. Evaluate the position of the wisdom teeth to determine whether problems exist currently or might occur in the future. Analyze patient data to determine patient needs or treatment goals. Perform surgery to prepare the mouth for dental implants, and to aid in the regeneration of deficient bone and gum tissues. Remove impacted, damaged, and non-restorable teeth. Treat infections of the oral cavity, salivary glands, jaws, and neck. Treat acute illnesses, infections, or injuries. Remove tumors and other abnormal growths of the oral and facial regions, using surgical instruments.

Qualifications:

New Graduates welcome to apply.

DDS or DMD degree from an accredited University.

Active License in the State of Alaska or another US State.  Alaska license preferred.

Board Certified OMFS.

BLS, ACSL, PALS required
