Providence Medical Group is seeking a full-time nurse practitioner to join its inpatient Palliative Care team in Anchorage, Alaska.
This is an exceptional opportunity to practice alongside a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on improving the quality of life for patients with chronic and life-altering illnesses. The team works closely with inpatient providers, outpatient palliative care clinicians, nursing staff, social workers, case managers and chaplains to provide seamless, patient-centered care. Position Details:
Full-time position
4, 10-hour shifts schedule
Opportunity for flexibility in schedule
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits
40 CME hours and $5,000 annual CME allowance
Up to $25,000 in relocation assistance
264 hours of paid time off annually
Qualifications & Requirements:
1 to 3 years of experience is preferred
Experience leading family meetings and goals-of-care conversations
Knowledge of symptom management
Experience in medication management, serious illness communication, and end-of-life care
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including patients, physicians, faculty, residents, nursing staff, social workers, case managers, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals
