The Department of Corrections, Division of Health & Rehabilitative Services, is recruiting for a Mental Health Clinician 3 position at the Anchorage Correctional Complex (ACC) located in Anchorage, Alaska.

What You Will Be Doing:

Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief Mental Health Officer, this position will:

Coordinate mental health services for inmates housed at Anchorage Correctional Center – West including within the Acute and Subacute Psychiatric Units.

Screen and triage inmates presenting with a wide variety of diagnoses including severe and persistent mental illness, behavior problems, organic disorders, alcohol/drug abuse, developmental disabilities and personality disorders.

Provide treatment planning, mental status exams, and risk assessments through the evaluation of existing history, prior psychological testing, clinical observations, and direct interviews.

Provide clinical and administrative supervision to the location’s mental health staff, including quality assurance, appointments, evaluations, and training.
