What You Will Be Doing:

As the Army National Guard's Maintenance Specialist Bldg./Facility/Const. - Journey 1, you work independently to construct, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain multiple state facilities within the guidelines of current state statutes and codes in the most efficient and economical manner possible. Must identify problems, make appropriate decision for resolution, and perform construction and/or maintenance repairs as needed.  As part of this position, you will troubleshoot and repair complex heating and ventilating systems. Performing repairs and tune-ups of burners for boilers and furnaces. You will also install and rebuild Toyo stoves. Perform preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Uses direct digital control (DDC) control systems to optimize building efficiency and comfort.  You will also be troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems ranging from lights to electrical motors and generators. Perform inspections and detect and identify electrical problems in lighting systems, building wiring, and electrical panels. Duties consist of replacing outlets, switches and replacing lighting ballasts, 120 volt and 220 volt.  As part of our team, you will also be responsible for the installation, repair, and troubleshooting any plumbing issues in a variety of structures. Replace and/or repair broken plumbing fixtures, e.g., toilets, urinals, and associated equipment.
