The Line Cook is responsible for the preparation, assembly, and presentation of dishes according to 49th State Brewing Company recipes and specifications. Line Cooks ensure each dish meets our high standards of flavor, quality, and consistency. This position requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic kitchen environment. Line Cooks play a key role in maintaining food safety, supporting team operations, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Execute food preparation and cooking tasks according to established recipes and standards.

Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and equipment before each service.

Accurately assemble and plate dishes in a timely manner during all meal services.

Monitor food quality through regular tasting and visual inspection.

Follow company policies for sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety.

Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment and storage areas.

Identify and properly dispose of any spoiled or substandard food items.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure all food orders are prepared and delivered together, hot and on time.

Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork within the kitchen.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent certification required.

Previous experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen required.

Knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations preferred.

Must hold or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire (failure to comply may result in reduced hours until provided).

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for full shifts (up to 8 hours).

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
