Position Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing meals in accordance with our established recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations. This role includes prepping ingredients, ensuring accurate meal portions, cooking menu items, and maintaining a clean, sanitized, and organized work area.

We are seeking an individual with prior experience in the food service industry who is dedicated to delivering exceptional food presentations and garnishing. Attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient workspace are essential to creating an impressive dining experience and encouraging repeat business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.

Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards.

Set up, stock, and maintain stations; complete prep work, station breakdown, and proper product rotation.

Ensure all dishes meet quality standards for taste, appearance, and portion size.

Handle special requests and prepare meals safely for guests with allergies or dietary restrictions.

Monitor food temperatures, follow safe thawing/cooling protocols, and maintain a sanitized workspace.

Track and report food waste; assist with basic inventory and notify management of shortages or equipment issues.

Communicate clearly with the kitchen team to maintain smooth order flow and efficient service.

Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed and complete other duties assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Ability to acquire a Food Handlers card prior to employment.

High School Diploma and/or GED required.

Proven experience as a line cook or similar role with strong knowledge of cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and food safety.

Skilled in operating and maintaining kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, broilers, and fryers.

Strong time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

High attention to detail to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality in all dishes.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to stand for long periods, work in a hot kitchen, and lift heavy items as needed.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
