The Division of Juvenile Justice is recruiting to fill a Juvenile Probation Officer 1/2 position in Utqiagvik (formerly Barrow) at Utqiagvik Juvenile Probation.
What You Will Be Doing
:
Provide a continuum of interventions and supervision of accused and adjudicated juvenile offenders on your dynamic caseload. Through evidence-based practices, motivate and guide youth, broker services, and steer youth towards accountability for their actions, community restoration, and development of competencies to lead productive and crime free adult lives. Represent the Division of Juvenile Justice in court proceedings. The services you provide will be challenging but in return produce significant long-term benefits to youth served, their families, and the community.
