ATV/Jeep Guide

, where every day is about exploring the rugged Tongass National Forest and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

You’ll lead guided tours on remote gravel roads, sharing stories of Alaska’s wildlife, history, and culture, while keeping safety, fun, and authenticity at the center of every journey.

What You’ll Do

Safely guide guests through the Tongass National Forest by Jeep or ATV.

Act as a lead guide, chase guide, or guest representative as needed.

Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure tour readiness.

Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and facilities so they’re always guest-ready.

Share knowledge of local wildlife, scenery, history, and Tlingit culture.

Deliver excellent customer service and provide guests with memorable experiences.

Promote Icy Strait Point’s venues and excursions and assist with literature or merchandise distribution.

Jump in to help with other tours as needed—flexibility is key!

Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Prior guiding experience (outdoor leadership a big plus).

Valid driver’s license with no restrictions; comfortable driving on gravel roads.

First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

Strong communication and storytelling skills—you’ll be both a driver and a guide.

Good physical condition to handle both guiding and equipment care.

Willingness to learn about and share Tlingit culture.

Safety-first mindset with excellent customer service skills.
