What can you expect?
As the HRIS & Recruitment Specialist, you will work onsite in Anchorage, AK primarily supporting the administration, accuracy, and day-to-day operation of the organization’s Workday HRIS environment. This position maintains employee and position data, performs system audits, supports Workday business processes, responds to service-level requests, troubleshoots end-user issues, creates standard reports, and assists with HRIS process documentation and system improvements. As a secondary area of responsibility, you will support recruitment administration, job requisitions, candidate workflow, pre-employment activities, and onboarding processes in Workday to help ensure an accurate and efficient recruitment-to-hire experience.
While this position is based in Anchorage, AK and primarily performs work in an office environment, we are open to considering the option to work in a hybrid arrangement and the potential for a remote arrangement based on business needs and Company approval.
How will you do it?
HRIS Functions:
Maintain and update employees, position, organizational, and related HR data in Workday and assist with transactional data entry as needed.
Manage HRIS system accounts and provide end-user support, including login troubleshooting, access-related questions, and assistance with routine Workday business processes.
Perform routine HRIS data audits to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Provide technical support to HR staff and end-users; troubleshoot and resolve Workday system issues and escalate complex issues as appropriate.
Generate standard HRIS reports and analyze HR data and metrics to support operational and data-driven decision-making.
Collaborate with HR staff to identify system requirements, support Workday configuration needs, test changes, and assist with implementation of system enhancements.
Identify, design, and document process workflows, procedures, job aids, and system guidance related to Workday and other HR-related technology.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within HRIS workflows and recommend enhancements that improve data quality, efficiency, and the end-user experience.
Assist with training sessions on Workday functionality and best practices for HR staff, managers, and other end-users.
Assist with preparation of end-user presentations, training materials, and job aids related to Workday and other HR applications, and provide training as needed.
Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to support Workday integrations and interfaces with other business systems.
Support recurring HRIS maintenance activities, testing, data validation, and other system administration tasks as assigned.
Recruitment Functions:
Create, review, route, and maintain job requisitions in Workday, ensuring approvals, position details, job profiles, locations, and recruiting data are accurate and complete.
Support recruiting workflow activity in Workday, including job posting updates, candidate movement, dispositioning, requisition status changes, and requisition closure in accordance with established processes.
Provide administrative recruitment support to HR staff and hiring managers, including interview coordination, candidate status updates, recruitment documentation, and routine candidate communications.
Support offer and pre-employment processes by coordinating required documentation, approvals, screening steps, and candidate follow-up with HR staff and other stakeholders.
Initiate and monitor onboarding business processes in Workday, track completion of required onboarding tasks, and assist new hires and managers with onboarding-related questions.
Coordinate recruitment-to-hire data handoffs to help ensure candidate information is accurately converted to employee records and required new-hire information is complete.
General Functions:
Participate regularly in professional development activities to keep abreast of changes and new developments in HR technology, Workday functionality, and recruitment practices.
Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Perform other duties as directed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Intermediate knowledge of the principles and practices of human resource management administration.
Intermediate knowledge of principles and practices of human resource information systems administration, data management, and HR operational processes.
Intermediate knowledge of HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) programs and other HR-related applications, including reporting, compliance, recruiting, and onboarding functionality.
Knowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, candidate selection, onboarding, personnel administration, and personnel information systems.
Advanced computer application skills including MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to use a laptop computer and standard business applications.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and data integrity
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal.
