The housekeeping is a direct reflection on the lodge in its entirety, this is a job that never gets the glory it deserves. We greatly appreciate all that this person does when it is done right and thoroughly. We as management never want to hear that a guest is out of toilet paper or doesn’t have a clean towel. For the rest of the staff please be appreciative that someone is willing to do this job and we are not all sharing in it. Below is an overview of the daily task that will need to be completed.

Clean Rec Room to the following applicable standards (you should wipe down tables, vacuum, organize bar, put all books/pool sticks away, clean and stock restrooms, ect. Keep an eye on the merchandise that is in the rec room; if anything looks out of place notify Becky immediately.)

Immediately take all used glasses and towels to be washed

straighten guest belongings w/out invading their privacy

Make beds w/ hospital corners, open drapes, close windows (on warm days they can be opened, especially rooms 4/5 they get really warm)

replace mugs, bathroom glasses, towels, and ash trays if used (they are never to be inside the room always outside on the bench)

Stock if needed (toilet paper, Kleenex, trash bags, guest soap, coffee condiments, etc.)

scrub toilet, sink, and shower thoroughly (remember Gus’ peanut butter trick!!!)

Clean bathroom floor

clean light fixtures if needed

empty and re-bag trash

vacuum whisking around edges, and clean any spots with Wool lite

spray air freshener

report any damage to Becky in the form of a note

dust all surfaces w/ Pledge

Windex all windows, mirrors and shower doors

check fire alarm and room clock batteries

Stock Rec Room bars (with non-alcoholic beverages, Becky is in charge of alcohol. The servers will make sure there is ice at the bar in the evening, and the part time helper will fill the cooler if applicable with ice)
