Job Summary

Join our team and help keep Alaska X beautiful! As a Groundskeeper, you'll maintain vibrant landscaping, lush lawns, and natural trails throughout our facilities. This is physically demanding work that requires attention to detail, physical fitness, and the ability to work independently. You'll manage our outdoor spaces in all weather conditions, from hot and dry to cold and wet.

Main Job Responsibilities:

Maintain landscaping including planting, watering, and caring for flowers and shrubs

Mow lawns and maintain grass areas using appropriate machinery

Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment including lawnmowers, weed eaters, and hand tools

Trim hedges, trees, and vegetation using hedgers, trimmers, and other hand tools

Clear and maintain natural trails throughout the property

Perform general maintenance on outdoor spaces and work areas

Dig, rake, and prepare soil as needed

Clean and organize outdoor equipment and work spaces

Work independently with little supervision or as part of a team

Adhere to all company policies and safety standards

Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficiency operating lawnmowers, weed eaters, and other groundskeeping machinery

Skilled in using hand tools including hedgers, trimmers, shovels, and rakes

Strong sense of personal responsibility and ability to work independently

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Detail-oriented with an eye for aesthetics and landscape maintenance

Physical capability to perform repetitive bending, lifting, digging, and walking

Ability to work in all weather conditions

Good time management and organizational skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outdoor environment

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license (Required)

Physical fitness to handle the demands of groundskeeping work (Required)

Ability to work irregular schedules (Required)

1 year groundskeeping experience (Preferred)

Working Conditions:

Frequent work performed outdoors, subject to adverse weather and temperature variations

Exposure to dust, dirt, grass clippings, and various odors

Exposure to noise from machinery and equipment

Potential exposure to dog barking and other animal-related sounds at dog camp areas

Work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift and carry buckets weighing up to 40 lbs for distances up to 200 feet (typically no more than 30 minutes per day)

Frequent standing, walking, and outdoor work

Ability to perform repetitive bending, stooping, and digging

Comfortable working in all weather and terrain conditions
