Position Summary

The Food Cashier/Food Attendant is responsible for providing friendly, fast, and accurate customer service while processing food orders. This position handles cash and electronic transactions, assists with food preparation support, and helps maintain cleanliness and organization within the Food Truck and the dining areas. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with the public.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all menu items, including prices and preparation methods.

Provide excellent customer service with a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor while accurately taking customer orders and ensuring proper food presentation.

Perform all cashier responsibilities, including operating the P.O.S. system, collecting payments, issuing receipts, maintaining cash accuracy, and preparing end‑of‑shift deposits following established cash‑handling procedures.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in dining and service areas by clearing tables, disposing of leftover food and beverages, removing trash, recycling, and ensuring overall sanitation in compliance with health and safety standards.

Organize storage rooms and rotate stock to ensure product freshness and proper inventory management.

Communicate effectively with line cooks, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and special events as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Must be 21 years of age or older.

High School Diploma and/or GED required.

A valid Driver’s License

Strong work ethics and ability to work quickly in a high-volume environment.

Must have previous cashier skills

Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (cases and supplies).

Basic knowledge of food operations is preferred but not required.

Ability to stand, bend, and move for long periods.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Requirements

High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism

Excellent communication, and organizational skills

Respond to common inquiries from guests.

Ability to deal with inebriated customers in a courteous and professional manner.

Perform other duties as assigned
