The Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness (ACEH) is seeking a visionary, collaborative, and action-oriented Executive Director to lead one of Alaska's most influential organizations working to make homelessness rare, brief, and one-time. Guided by the values of dignity, respect, equity, and compassion, ACEH unites community partners to build lasting solutions for housing stability.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director serves as the chief strategist, fundraiser, relationship builder, and public ambassador for ACEH. The role leads organizational strategy, financial sustainability, staff leadership, community partnerships, and system-level initiatives that improve homelessness prevention and response across Anchorage.

Compensation & Benefits

ACEH offers

a starting salary of $140,000 annually

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of executive leadership, strategic relationship building, and organizational management experience, including:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Work, Human Services, Public Health, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Significant senior management or executive leadership experience with responsibility for staff supervision, budgeting, organizational operations, and implementation of complex initiatives.

Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant development, donor cultivation, and securing sustainable funding streams.

Proven ability to build partnerships, lead high-performing teams, manage competing priorities, and achieve organizational goals.

Experience working across diverse stakeholder groups, including community organizations, government entities, philanthropic partners, and business leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong candidates may also possess:

Knowledge of Anchorage and Alaska's governmental, philanthropic, housing, business, and community landscapes.

Understanding of homelessness response systems, housing stability initiatives, and systems-change approaches.

Three or more years of executive leadership experience.

An advanced degree in a relevant field.

Familiarity with HUD funding programs, Continuum of Care (CoC) requirements, and compliance frameworks.

Experience in public policy, advocacy, government relations, coalition building, or community-wide initiative leadership.
