The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Airfield Maintenance, is looking for a Equipment Operator Journey 2 to help us

What you will be doing:
As a member of the Airfield Maintenance team at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC), you will operate and maintain one of the most modern airport snow removal fleets in the nation while helping keep Alaska's largest airport operating safely year-round.
Primary Duties:
Operate heavy equipment including loaders, motor graders, dump trucks, airport snow removal machines, sand spreaders, backhoes, and tractor-trailer combinations.
Perform snow and ice removal on runways, taxiways, aprons, roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks during rapidly changing weather conditions.
Maintain airfield infrastructure through pavement marking installation, asphalt and concrete repairs, vegetation management, and security inspections.
Communicate effectively on company and air-to-ground radio systems while operating safely in an active airfield environment around aircraft and airport operations.
Support emergency response activities and perform a wide variety of maintenance tasks that provide experience and exposure unmatched by most equipment operator positions.

This position is located at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, where you'll work at the center of one of the world's busiest aviation hubs. Most days, you will be part of a highly coordinated team operating specialized equipment in synchronized formations across runways, taxiways, and aprons, requiring precision, communication, and teamwork to safely maintain critical airfield infrastructure. Obtain an Airport Security Badge and maintain it for the term of employment.
Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A withN-Tanker endorsement per 49 CFR 383, and SOA, DOT & PF, Policy and Procedure #07.01.010 Subpart D - Driver Disqualifications and Penalties 383.51. Employee must notify their supervisor and their main office in the event of a traffic citation or any other offense against their driver’s license. Loss of license is grounds for immediate dismissal.
Participation in a pre-employment drug test and participation in a random drug and alcohol testing program for the term of employment.
