The Central Regional Materials Section consists of a 20-plus member team of Geotechnical Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Engineering Geologists, and Lab staff who work cooperatively to develop geotechnical design recommendations in support of Highway and Aviation Design projects. You will be an integral part of this team providing site-specific geotechnical data and communicating their observations and data to the engineers.

The benefits of joining our team:

At Central Region Materials we strive to provide our staff both on-the-job training with fellow Engineering Geologists and Engineers, while promoting training on the technical aspects of our work and related functions (such as geotechnical equipment used in the field) to enable staff to learn all aspects of Engineering Geology.  We offer flexible work schedules and many opportunities to advance your knowledge and skills, opening doors to your professional development and advancement with the department and the State of Alaska.
