Job Description

This position is responsible for managing the processing of Domestic Violence, Stalking, and Sexual Assault case motions and related court documents to ensure compliance with applicable statutes, court rules, and filing requirements. The incumbent reviews incoming pleadings for completeness and accuracy, tracks motion activity, identifies filing deficiencies, communicates with attorneys and self-represented litigants regarding corrective actions, and maintains accurate case records and tracking systems. The position also processes motion orders, performs quality control reviews, and coordinates with judicial staff to support timely case resolution.

The role provides administrative and courtroom support by preparing files for judicial review, processing exhibits, monitoring court calendars, conducting courtroom equipment checks, and assisting with the management of inactive or stayed cases. The incumbent works closely with judges, judicial assistants, court staff, attorneys, and the public to ensure efficient case processing and effective communication throughout the court process.

In addition to specialized case management responsibilities, this position serves as a backup for general Court Case Manager functions, including front counter and telephone customer service, case initiation, records requests, and weekend or evening clerk coverage as needed. The position also supports the court's operations by participating in cross-training, assisting other divisions, training co-workers, and performing other related duties as assigned.

The Work Hours

Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week.  The work hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.
