What You Will Be Doing:

Under general administrative direction, the incumbent of this position will:

Schedule and coordinate prisoner movements within and outside Alaska to support population management, required services, and inter-agency transport needs.

Ensure efficient utilization of transportation staff, vehicles, and other resources while coordinating closely with partner law enforcement agencies.

Oversee department-wide selection, training, qualification, and requalification of Prisoner Transportation Officers.

Work with facility leadership to arrange airlifts and other transport modes for routine, emergency, high-profile, or special-handling transports in compliance with policy and safety standards.

Manage vehicle readiness, authorizes maintenance and repairs, and procures necessary security equipment, weapons, ammunition, and related unit supplies.
