, where you’ll spend the summer working in a fast-paced kitchen while surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of Southeast Alaska.

As a Chef/Float, you’ll be an essential part of our culinary team—preparing fresh meals, supporting kitchen operations, and ensuring guests enjoy high-quality dining in a one-of-a-kind destination.

What You’ll Do

Arrive on time, ready to work as part of a friendly and professional team.

Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations.

Prep ingredients (cleaning, cutting, portioning) and cook menu items according to recipes.

Plate dishes to meet presentation standards.

Work closely with servers and cashiers to ensure timely and accurate orders.

Maintain a

clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen

at all times.

Wash utensils, cooking equipment, and work areas as needed.

Step into other roles or tasks as needed to support the team.

Uphold all food safety and hygiene standards.

What We’re Looking For

Restaurant or kitchen background is a plus (but we’ll train the right person).

Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.

Friendly, team-oriented mindset.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Calm and professional under pressure.

Strong communication skills with both guests and coworkers.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Able to stand for long shifts (up to 12 hours).

Lift up to 40–50 lbs, bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.

Walk more than 5 miles daily in a kitchen and venue setting.

Work safely in a

noisy, fast-paced environment with kitchen odors present

.

Comfortable living in a

remote, rural Alaskan community

.

Able to travel by small plane or ferry and walk on gravel roads in inclement weather.
