The Department of Revenue, Treasury Division is recruiting for an Application Developer 4 in Juneau!

At this time, this position is currently only open to Department of Revenue employees.

What You Will Be Doing

Serve as Treasury's senior technical lead, designing, managing, and maintaining mission-critical applications and data systems that support investment operations.

Architect and implement modern technical solutions using Azure DevOps, C#.NET, SQL, Python, and related technologies to ensure secure, reliable, and high-quality systems that support front-, middle-, and back-office functions.

Plan and execute technical projects, lead system modernization efforts, drive process automation, and coordinate development standards across the division.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and coordinate with OIT, vendors, and Treasury staff on high-priority initiatives such as audit responses, security assessments, and disaster-recovery exercises.

We have a strong preference for candidates with demonstrated experience designing and leading complex application architectures; integrating enterprise-level financial systems; managing high-volume data pipelines; and independently implementing secure, reliable solutions in mission-critical environments.

The Working Environment You Can Expect

This position is located on the 11

th

floor in the State office building in downtown Juneau, with access to covered parking. You will work in a collaborative environment with investment professionals, operations staff, and OIT partners, balancing focused independent work with coordinated team problem-solving.
