What You Will Be Doing:

You will be developing and delivering curriculum for Pretrial, Probation, and Parole (DP3), Correctional and Municipal training basic academies as well as in-service departmental personnel. The incumbent will work with an emphasis on DP3 training disciplines and assist in providing ongoing educational opportunities for the Department of Corrections.

The Academy provides training for the Department's correctional professionals through a structured adult learning-based model, centered on providing the State of Alaska with qualified and trained personnel. These trained professionals are prepared to address the numerous challenges facing the supervision of the offender population and their successful reintegration back into the community.
