The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions is recruiting for an Adult Probation Officer 1/2B for the Central Classification and Community Placement Unit, located in Anchorage, Alaska.

What You Will Be Doing:

Supervise offenders on furlough status at Community Residential Centers (CRCs) and treatment centers as well as assisting with offenders serving their term of imprisonment on Electronic Monitoring and/or confined at the CRCs.

Provide case management to assist offenders in their reentry efforts while balancing public safety.

Collaborate with treatment providers, case managers, and reentry services on the successful transition of offenders back to the community.

Conduct office visits, risk/needs assessments, classifications, furlough conversions, searches/shakedowns, report writing, service referrals, victim notification and release planning.
