The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for an Adult Probation Officer 1/2A for the Anvil Mountain Correctional Center (AMCC) located in Nome, Alaska.

What You Will Be Doing:

This position is responsible for the full range of Probation and Parole work at AMCC. The incumbent will be working directly with local, state and Federal law enforcement agencies, the Court system, the Alaska Board of Parole, the District Attorney's Office, the Public Defender's Office and other community agencies to help assist inmates in their re-entry efforts while balancing community safety. This incumbent will make recommendations to the Adult Probation Officer 3 and Superintendent regarding appropriate custody levels and housing placements.
