What You Will Be Doing:

Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC), a Division of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, is recruiting for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Officer 2 who will coordinate and perform professional-level administrative functions in support of AVTEC’s operations. The incumbent will provide comprehensive financial, budget, procurement, personnel, and administrative support; evaluate issues involving multiple variables; and develop effective solutions and guidelines to ensure consistent and efficient administrative processes. This position serves as the second-in-command administrative authority for the Division and assumes the responsibilities of the Administrative Operations Manager during absences. The role requires broad knowledge of funding mechanisms, accounting practices, and administrative procedures to conduct accurate analysis, interpret financial activity, and prepare clear summaries that support informed decision-making across the organization.
