ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TO CLERK OF THE APPELLATE COURTS

Provides administrative support to the Clerk of Court, including managing communications, coordinating schedules and travel, maintaining records and court documents, and assisting with payroll, purchasing, and office operations. Oversees courtroom and facility usage, supports hiring processes, and maintains appellate court calendars.

Serves as a liaison for Alaska Bar Association matters by tracking cases, maintaining records, coordinating attorney admissions and swearing-in ceremonies, and preparing related materials.

Assists with special events, judicial ceremonies, and projects, and provides additional support to the Clerk of Appellate Courts as needed.

ADMINSTRATIVE SUPPORT TO APPELLATE CLERKS OFFICE

Supports the operations of the Appellate Clerk’s Office by managing communications, processing mail, and providing front desk coverage. Assists with case processing, including handling filing fees, maintaining records, and supporting the preparation and review of appellate case materials.

Coordinates appellate procedures such as oral argument scheduling, mediation program support, and maintaining related statistics. Oversees publication of appellate decisions, ensures accuracy of case information, and manages case file archiving and storage.

Work Hours

Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for these positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.
