Security Officer professionals

to join our team in

Girdwood, Alaska

.

What You’ll Do

As a

Security Officer

, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring that guests and employees are safe and there are no dangers or irregularities around the premises.

Your responsibilities will include:

Monitors employee entrance and security cameras

.

Patrol buildings and property

including; lobbies, corridors, and public rooms, examining doors, windows and gates to assure they are secure.

Watches for and reports irregularities

such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked, and reports findings to appropriate department personnel.

Ensures safety rules are posted and enforced

across the Resort.

Requests for and assists management and law enforcement

officers in emergency situations

Examines Fire Alarm systems for operational status

and examines fire extinguishers and other safety equipment for serviceability.

Interviews guests and employees, and questions persons to detect infringements and investigate

disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalisms, unsafe conditions, fires and accidents.

What We Need

Must be at least 21 years of age and have valid US Driver’s License.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior security training and experience in the bar/event industry preferred; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior security training and experience in the hotel industry preferred.

Candidate must have CPR, First Aid and TAPs Certification within 90 days of employment.

Candidate must have knowledge of basic security and fire prevention procedures.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service experience, and observing situations and competent with decision making.

Must be able to use FM radio and work with minimal supervision.
