The Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API) is recruiting for a

Recreation Therapist 1

What You Will Be Doing:

Plan and implement individual and group therapeutic activities including but not limited to: sports, physical exercise, creative arts, cultural events, and special interest groups for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with physical and/or mental disorders at the state psychiatric facility. As a Recreation Therapist you will assess patient's leisure needs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, in an effort to promote, maintain or restore patient’s physical and mental health.

This position is located at 3700 Piper Street in the U-MED district of east Anchorage which offers several maintained walking trails, parks and nearby lakes.
