The Alaska Department of Corrections, Division of Health and Rehabilitation Services, is recruiting for a Psychiatric Nurse 3 position located at the Anchorage Correctional Complex (ACC) in Anchorage, Alaska.

What You Will Be Doing:

In this role, you will oversee the Anchorage Correctional Complex West (ACC-W) Mental Health Unit and Sub-Acute Unit Nursing team. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to the mentally ill inmate population, provide consultation, direction and support to all the staff you oversee. You will be working in a leadership role that will work within a multidisciplinary team assuring that all standards and legal requirements are met. One of the primary responsibilities include assisting the Institutional Health Care Officer in ensuring that health services are planned, organized, and delivered in the most efficient and effective manner and that medical policies are implemented on the mental health units. You may also assist with other nursing duties in other areas at the ACC.
