The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for a full-time Protective Service Specialist 1/2 located in Anchorage, Alaska. What you will be doing In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for individuals reporting concerns about child safety and well-being. You will be responsible for gathering essential information and screening reports. Success in this position requires strong customer service, critical thinking, and the ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment. Your work will play a vital role in protecting children and supporting families across Alaska. The 3-day schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Current automotive insurance must be in place prior to use of a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the State. Relocation reimbursement costs may be provided by the State of Alaska. For positions in this job class, a child protective history check will be performed per AS 12.62.160 and/or 13 AAC 68.315 including a background and fingerprint check.
