POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to provide high quality patient experience during the Registration process to community members and Maniilaq employees. This position provides training, quality review, and oversight to the Registration Team. The position also provides support and training as needed for the CHAP clinics in the Maniilaq villages. Reports directly to the Patient Financial Services Director.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for coaching, development and training of Registration team, which includes creating and maintaining departments processes

Maintain work schedule for all Registration team to ensure adequate coverage

Provide support for all Registration team functions and problem solve for process improvement

Act as subject matter expert in all discussion involving new processes or events

Examines pertinent information to determine accuracy of customer requests and related paperwork

Work payer denial reports and execute appropriate training for Registration team to reduce denials

Participates in Registration audits and requests from internal or external entities

Must be able to supervise team in a positive and respectful manner

Monitor Registration team activity for quality assurance and accuracy

Provide support to

all

Maniilaq departments for Registration and customer service oversight which include village clinic administrative staff.

Responsible to support Registration team to resolve escalated events by patients or clients

Responsible for ensuring all Registration team members provide positive and excellent customer service

Provides on-call coverage for Registration and the ER as scheduled.

Work closely with revenue cycle leaders to ensure we are upholding CMS Registration compliance and Maniilaq policies and procedures respective to the position and responsibilities.

Communicate with revenue cycle leaders of any events that need immediate attention for process improvement or team quality

Participate in all continuing education platforms that supports Registration team oversight which will include scheduling as well as other aspects of patient access scope

Work closely with revenue cycle leaders in all aspects of quality of care, compliance, client satisfaction, accuracy and providing a positive work environment

Other duties needed to help drive our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization's Value

Job Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Three years of health care experience which includes patient access functions. Preferred experience of staff management. Experience with basic Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Experience in staff training is preferred. Familiar with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid patient rights and consent to treat. Must have excellent professional communication skills. Must have the ability to prioritize and carry out daily duties in a timely and accurate manner with minimal supervision.
