WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Alaska State Trooper Head Quarters position functions as the division`s planning lieutenant. The primary duties include the planning and implementation of initiatives impacting the future efforts and efficiencies of the Division of AST.

This position is located at the Anchorage Courthouse in the heart of downtown Anchorage, an area known for its blend of government, business, and cultural activity. The daily work environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, made up of highly motivated, task-driven professionals. The incumbent will work closely with team members, judicial partners, and other stakeholders to support the mission and ensure efficient, reliable service delivery.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

To succeed in this position, the incumbent will need demonstrate the following:

Previous law enforcement experience as a police officer certified by the Alaska Police Standards Council (APSC) with experience working investigations involving accident investigations, traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, and special programs.

Demonstrated ability to handle physical and mental stress while tackling lengthy projects and assignments, with constantly changing timelines and priorities.

Ability to effectively plan, coordinate, and direct several groups of personnel engaged in multiple activities simultaneously.

Experience in providing criminal intelligence to support critical missions
