The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is seeking a Division Operations Manager to join our team and help us Keep Alaska Moving! What You Will Be Doing: This position serves as the senior on-site executive responsible for directing, coordinating, and evaluating all operational functions at Anchorage International Airport (AIA). The incumbent ensures safe, secure, and efficient airport operations while providing executive-level oversight of airport-wide planning, organizational performance, and financial coordination. The position executes and advances policies, priorities, and strategic direction established by the Airport Manager and Alaska International Airport System (AIAS) leadership and serves as the primary delegated authority for on-site operational decision-making. In the absence of the Airport Manager or AIAS leadership, this position exercises full delegated authority and assumes responsibility for division-level operations and decision-making. Budget Administration : Knowledge of the principles and practices of budget administration and analysis; including preparing, justifying, reporting on, and executing the budget; and the relationships among program, budget, accounting, and reporting systems. Organizational Awareness : Knows the organization's mission and functions, and how its social, political, and technological systems work and operates effectively within them; this includes the programs, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the organization. Oral and Written Communication : Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral and written presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Supervision: Plans, distributes, and monitors work assignments; sets task priorities; evaluates work performance and provides feedback to others on their performance; ensures that staff are appropriately selected, utilized, and developed, and that they are treated in a fair and equitable manner. Minimum Qualifications Three years of professional experience in the broad occupational fields of the division or department and two years of supervisory and/or managerial experience, which may be concurrent with the professional experience. Special Note: "Professional experience in the broad occupational fields of the division or department," means experience in one of the professional areas that compose the division's purpose and function to ensure the applicant has the knowledge of the work of the division to be managed. For example, in an administrative services division, qualifying professional experience could be in any one of the professional areas that compose business administration; such as accounting, procurement, human resources, and so on. In a line division, for example the Division of Mining, Land, & Water in the Department of Natural Resources, qualifying experience could be in any one of the professional areas that provide for the use and protection of Alaska's State-owned land and water, such as geology, hydrology, forestry, natural resource management, and so on.
