What you will be doing: Help protect the health, safety, and well-being of vulnerable adults across Alaska. As a Care Facility Licensing Surveyor (CFLS), you will oversee and support Alaska’s licensed Assisted Living Homes. In this role, you will conduct licensing inspections, process new facility applications, evaluate modification and variance requests, and carry out investigations to ensure compliance with state regulations. You will also provide technical assistance to help homes create safe, supportive environments for residents. The CFLS 1 is a trainee Level At this level, you will receive formal on-the-job training and progressively take on more responsibility as you build the skills necessary to perform journey-level work. The CFLS 2 is the Journey Level At this level, you will work independently and perform the full range of licensing, inspection, investigation, and regulatory compliance duties for the program. The CFLS 3 is the Advanced Level This level is reserved for experienced surveyors who regularly lead investigations of highly complex, specialized, controversial, or sensitive cases requiring strong professional judgment. Ensuring all service providers with direct client access complete required background checks.
